About Us
Clare lives in the beautiful BC Interior, and started paint pouring as a way to destress, and get through some tough times in 2023. By happy accident she discovered she could use her pours to create jewelry, and so started a passion for playful creativity that could be used to spread joy. After giving away many pieces as gifts to friends and family, or as donations to some of her favourite causes, or as prizes for events, she found people enquiring where they could purchase her creations, and so Compassionart Creations was born.
Clare has always loved poetry, and written many poems for friends and family, or to celebrate special occasions over the years. Leaning into poetry was another source of joy and playfulness in 2023, and Clare started to explore ways to bring her two passions together. Her journals are the result of this latest curious expression, and are intended to uplift, inspire and provide encouragement.
Clare believes passionately that we can all play a small part in creating the type of world we want to live in, and chose the name Compassionart Creations deliberately to reflect her values of using her art to spread joy.

Thank you for coming to check out our creations! Clare combines acrylic paint pouring with metal jewelry trays and glass cabachons, to create all kinds of unique jewelry pieces - pendants, earrings, brooches, cufflinks, key rings and more! The process takes approximately 5 days, from pouring the paint, to completing the finished item. Each is hand made, and every pour provides its own magic (aka chemistry!), so, even using the same colours, every piece is unique. We do, however, create several pieces from a single pour, which allows us to create 'matching' sets - either earrings & pendants to match, or sets for families, groups of friends, or special occasions like wedding parties.
The notebooks or journals are created from Clare's original artwork, which is photographed, and then used in designs, together with her poetry. Each journal has 100 pages for you to fill with your lists, reflections, ideas, notes or doodles! The art and poetry are intended to be a source of encouragement or inspiration, and are the perfect gift to show kindness, gratitude or empathy. Or, they may simply appeal to someone's love of colour and rhyme!
